State of Massachusetts Plans to Require Toothbrushing at Day Care Centers and Pre-Schools

The State of Massachusetts – Department of Early Education and Care plans on requiring day care centers and pre-schools to supervise toothbrushing of children. This plan will apply to young children who are under supervised care for more than 4 hours per day. Parents can opt out of this requirement if they choose. The new requirement for day care centers is aimed at preventing the ongoing problem of tooth decay in your children.
