Roadways can be extremely dangerous, especially during times of heavy traffic flow (for example, during morning and afternoon commutes). Therefore, drivers, especially those who are transporting children, need to stay attentive at all times. Drivers should maintain focus on the road and keep distractions down to a minimum; do not listen to music too loudly, eat, drink, groom, or talk or text on a cell phone while driving. If drivers keep their focus on the road, stay attentive, do not drive aggressively, take precautions and do not otherwise partake in distracting behavior, roadways will become safer for all, especially children.
