Are all Maryland day care centers subjected to the same policies, procedures, and regulations? The simple answer to this question is “No.” Under Maryland law, there are different classifications of day care centers. There can be no more than 4 children under the age of 2 years of age assuming there is appropriate staff in place.

Letter of Compliance Facilities. Under Maryland law, a Letter of Compliance Facility is operated by a church or religious based organization. There was exemptions for these facilities as to the qualifications of staff and the activities / programs for the facility.
