In Little Rock, Arkansas, a tragic incident took place on a school bus. It was reported that an 8 year old boy (Malik Lewis) boarded the bus and then opened the emergency door and fell out. He suffered a fatal head injury after hitting his head on the pavement. At the time of the incident, Malik was calling for his mother as he was opening the Emergency Door. In Connecticut and other states, parents take their children to day care centers with the expectation that their children will be safe. Unfortunately, incidents and accidents happen in day care centers in Connecticut that cause personal injuries to children or put them at risk. In Stamford, Connecticut, it was reported that the driver of a minivan mistakenly crashed her vehicle into the day care center. Matthew Wayne Lightbody of Brick New Jersey, was caring for a nine month old girl in his home when the girl went into convulsions. Lightbody called 911 right away, but when emergency responders arrived they found the girl unresponsive and bruised all over her body.


In Cheyenne, Wyoming, a child is recovery from surgery following a Pit Bull dog attack. The 10 year old boy (William Kunert) was bit by a neighbor’s dog.
